Port City Jerry Day

The 5th Annual Port City Jerry Day is a charitable event presented by the City of Wilmington in support of the United Way of the Cape Fear Area. The event, celebrating the life and music of the Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia, will be held on Saturday, August 19th from 6pm-10pm at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater. The successful event last year raised $20k for local charity with 100% of proceeds again going to the non-profit. Get ready for an unforgettable evening filled with fantastic music by The Garcia Project with Maria Muldaur & Buzz Buchanen (original Jerry Garcia Band members). Additionally, local Dead cover band The Possums will start at 5:30pm. Mayor Mike Purzycki and the Peguin’s Beau Gunn with also make a special appearance singing on stage. Doors open at 5 pm, allowing patrons to explore the offerings of live artists and vendors. Artists include Nugget, Brandon Besecker, Kaichica Loca, Kosmic Kev, The Tying Alchemist and Bee Jones while craft vendors are Drifter Merch, Viola Lee Tees, Nothing Too Fancy Designs, Love That Baby, Hopkins Creative Group, T-Shaw Designs, Tink-A-Belle, Cosmic Carolina Dyes, Mountain Soul Designs, Homegrown Market, Settle Down Easy Goods, Barefoot and Brazen and more. Don’t miss the $5 raffle with items from various vendors raising additional funds.

100% of the proceeds will directly benefit the United Way of the Cape Fear Area that works with its community to leverage resources and improve the lives of local people. By partnering with local agencies across the Cape Fear region, the non-profit is able to continue to fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in its community. United Way of the Cape Fear Area empowers its neighborhoods by building strong foundations to have a stronger, united, more resilient community.

Lowcountry Moontime Market and WSP Sticker Con

During the Widespread Panic Charleston run, HoneyCreekPottery and Drifter Merch present the Lowcountry Moontime Market & WSP Sticker Con at the Whale in the Refinery on Saturday, May 6th from 12pm-5pm. As Shakedown lots usually get shut down on Daniel Island, we will have numerous artisan vendors participating along with Palmira BBQ food truck and live music from Rodeo Clown playing jam grass. Bring your stickers to trade too! Located at the Refinery in downtown Charleston, The Whale will be serving up its craft beer and wine selections. The event is rain or shine and free to attend.

Red Daisy Festival in Winston-Salem, NC

A Billy Strings concert pre-party, the Red Daisy Festival will be held on Friday, March 3rd and Saturday, March 4th from 12pm-7pm at Big Winston Warehouse in Winston-Salem, NC. Presented by Celestial Wellness, Fiddlin Fish, Broad Branch Distillery, the event features an amazing lineup of live music and 20+ vendors including Drifter Merch. It promises to be the place to be for pre-show festivities on the weekend of the Winston-Salem Billy Strings shows!

3rd Annual Drifter Fest Lineup Announced

The 3rd Annual Drifter Fest: Bert Griggs Memorial Jam will be held on Friday, March 31st and Saturday, April 1st from 7-11pm at the Refinery Amphitheater in Downtown Charleston. Headliners for the live music event will be legendary bassist George Porter and his band the Runnin’ Pardners along with Southern rock band Tishamingo reuniting for a special performance. Supporting acts include Gavin Hamilton and Friends featuring Wallace Mullinax, Broken Speakers and Just Groove.

A portion of proceeds will benefit Carolina Studios. Led by Hootie & the Blowfish’s Mark Bryan, the non-profit organization fosters creative, educational & career-focused initiatives for students through music, technology & media arts. Presented by Drifter Merch, Ear for Music and The Refinery in partnership with local businesses, sponsors include Jack and Coke Ready-to-Drink Cocktail, Lunar Light Botanicals, Southern Flavor Magazine, Attorney Joe Good, Rodgers Wranglers, Eskimo Advertising, Carolina Audio Video, Closet Factory and Trial Attorneys Clawson Fargnoli & Utsey. Providing a true festival experience, the event will have craft vendors such as Drifter Merch, Zinnialou Jewelry, GrillKilt, SunHeist Eyewear, Honey Creek Pottery and Sophie Kate Candles. Additionally, local favorites Home Team BBQ and King of Pops will be on site.

One day general admission tickets are available for $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event. A limited number of $50 VIP tickets will include GA access plus a second level platform viewing area above the event with private bars, complimentary spirit tastings, seating and a commemorative laminate. Taste of Folly is Back

Celebrate Folly Beach’s eclectic beachside cuisine at the annual Taste of Folly hosted by the Folly Association of Business. The Taste weekend includes a cocktail competition featuring cocktails from all your favorite spots on Friday, January 14th, and a family-friendly Center Street event on Saturday, January 15th, with food, drinks, live music, many craft vendors including Drifter Merch and events for everyone!

Begin your weekend with the cocktail competition sponsored by Ketel One Botanicals on Friday at the Tides in the Pavilion Ballroom from 7-10pm where all of your favorite Folly restaurants and bars will compete with their own cocktail creations featuring Ketel One Botanicals liquor. Tickets are $24 in advance or $30 at the door. A sample of all cocktails in the competition are included with ticket purchase. Must be 21+ to attend.

Continue the celebration at the main event on Saturday with the Savory Saturday Center Street event from 10am until 4pm. This family-friendly street closure festival will include live entertainment across three stages, 60+ arts, crafts, and food vendors, multiple kids areas, server Olympics, hot dog eating and oyster shucking contests, cooking demonstrations, and more! Center Street will close to vehicle traffic at 7am and reopen at 6pm. Admission is $9 in advance or $14 at the gate. Folly residents and kids 12 and under are free.

In addition to the live events, people can purchase a Taste of Folly Virtual Passport to use from Friday, January 14th through Monday, January 31st. Purchase your Taste Passport then visit participating locations and scan their QR code to be entered into drawings. The more establishments you visit, the more chances you’ll have to win prizes, including overnight stays on the island, kayak and golf cart rentals, restaurant gift cards, and more!

The 2nd Annual Drifter Fest: Bert Griggs Memorial Jam Announced

Presented by Drifter Merch and Ear for Music, 2nd Annual Drifter Fest: Bert Griggs Memorial Jam will be held on Saturday, September 11th from 7-11pm. The first event to be held at the new Refinery Amphitheater in Downtown Charleston, Drifter Fest will feature live music from jam band Indecision with local favorite Junco Partner opening. A free pre-jam to kick off the weekend festivities will be held on Friday, September 10th at Home Team BBQ downtown with entertainment provided by Atlanta’s Last Waltz Ensemble.

A portion of proceeds will benefit Carolina Studios, founded right here in the Lowcountry by Hootie and the Blowfish’s Mark Bryan to foster creative, educational, and career-focused initiatives for students through music, technology and media arts. In partnership with local businesses, sponsors include Slane Irish Whiskey, Truly Hard Seltzer, Southern Flavor Magazine, Eskimo Advertising, Rodgers Wranglers, Mass Mutual South Carolina and Carolina Audio Video. Providing a true festival experience, the event will have craft vendors that include Drifter Merch, Zinnialou Jewelry, Cotton Patch Hemp, and GrillKilt. Saturday’s event will be ticketed with general admission available for $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event. In addition to Bert’s passion for designing and creating music-inspired and custom goods for his Drifter Merch customers, Bert was an amazing father, husband, son, brother, and friend. Bert had an innate ability to make everyone he met feel like they were the most important person in the room. He never met a stranger. In fact, he was everyone’s best friend. He had the sweetest soul and a tender heart that loved hard and deeply. Bert had a unique sense of humor with an infectious laugh and smile that could light up the darkest room. He is intensely missed.

Doors for the Drifter Fest: The Inaugural Bert Griggs Memorial Jam open at 8pm at the Charleston Pour House (1977 Maybank Hwy.). Inside the venue from 8:30pm-1am, guests will enjoy a collaboration of Bert's favorite tunes from many of his friends including Reid Stone and bands Gaslight Street, The Travelin' Kine, SHONUFF, Solid Country Gold and more.

SUNDAY, MARCH 8TH:
Drifter Merch will be vending at Reckoning in the Park, a family friendly event featuring The Reckoning, an awesome Grateful Dead cover band from 2pm-5pm in the meadow at James Island County Park.

Drifter Merch will be available for sale on Saturday and Sunday as well as the awesome event poster created by TRiPPs Prints and Bert's portrait by artist Jason Moore.

Follypalooza Cancer Benefit and Street Festival in Folly Beach, SC

The 9th Annual Follypalooza Cancer Benefit & Street Festival will be held on Saturday, October 22nd from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Folly Beach, SC. Follypalooza is an annual cancer benefit & street festival on Folly Beach, SC that raises money for local cancer patients & other Folly Beach residents in need of medical help. An all-day event, Follypalooza is family-friendly with Live Music by Guilt Ridden TroubadourForty Mile DetourSaluda ShoalsBurnt WoodTaco Donkey & WPOS. Other attractions include a 5K, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, carnival games, jump castles, face painting, balloon animals, mechanical bull, Art in the Park, and various vendors including Drifter Merch. Local restaurants will also set up food stands & food trucks along Center Street throughout the day. With the street closed off from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., patrons are permitted to roam freely with adult beverages with purchase of a $1 ID bracelet sold at our t-shirt & info booth. A community fundraiser with fun-filled & family-friendly activities, Follypalooza is a great reason to show support for a good cause & one of the longest running cancer benefits in the State of South Carolina.
